Broome Hall is an important and interesting local house. Pat Newberry has done extensive research on a topic on which at first sight there wasn’t much information available. This is a comprehensive and original piece of research, looking at the history of the site and the house, its architecture, and the interesting people who lived there (not just Oliver Reed) with lots of photographs, maps and plans. Highly recommended for all fans of local history. Free for current members. £ 2.50 for non-members.
