'Sunshine on Leith'. It describes itself as "Simply glorious... the feel-fabulous film of the year." Home is where the heart is for best pals Davy and Ally. Returning from duty in Afghanistan to their lifelong residence in Leith (Scotland), the lads kindle romances old and new; Ally with Davy's sister Liz, and Davy with Yvonne, his little sis's best friend from work. Meanwhile their parents Rab and Jean are busy planning their 25th wedding anniversary. Everything's going swimmingly, until a revelation from Rab's past threatens to tear the family and all three couples apart. It is adapted from the stage musical and features euphoric music from the Proclaimers.
There will be a donations bar with soft drinks, wine, popcorn, ice creams plus tea and coffee to cover the cost of the hall hire. The film will start at 8pm and will be finished by 9.45.
The equipment is high quality and if you bring a cushion you could imagine you were in the cinema (almost!).
