The story of Lonesome Lodge - a half-forgotten story of 1724 -1854, presented by Mary Day and Dick Thomas of Capel History Society.

In the 18th century, Theodore Jacobsen, a Dutch merchant living in England, built a country house near Broadmoor in the Tillingbourne Valley, Lonesome Lodge. The house survived only until the 19th century and little remains to tell you where it was, except that today you can still see the picturesque waterfall, created as part of the garden scheme for the house. Many of you probably know it.
