In the beginning....

The Coldharbour Village Band was formed in September 2014 with a group of 30 villagers, most of whom had never played an instrument before. The goal was to be able to play 3 Christmas carols in December. This was achieved by having group lessons on Saturday mornings each week until the end of November, then 3 full band sessions prior to the grand performance. This was held on December 14th and 29 villagers played. The occasion was a huge success with all but one band member continuing to learn, plus 3 new members starting in January.

Xmas 2015 was another very successful concert with over 35 band members playing. Please go to this link to see photos of the 2015 Christmas Concert.

During 2016 the band played at several functions including the Queen's 90th Birthday celebrations, Village fete, Village day and various concerts. Please go to this link to see the pictures 2016 Coldharbour Village Band

2017 saw even more events. We were honoured to play twice at Leith Hill Place - once in the beautiful grounds and later in the summer inside the house. We also played at the Teddy Bears Picnic in Abinger Hammer and at Dorking Gala Night. The year concluded with our annual Christmas Concert. 2017 Band Photos.

Now here in 2019 we are approaching our 5th anniversary.  The band continues to evolve and we now welcome people from outside of Coldharbour’.  For our latest news and photos please see our facebook page Coldharbour Band.
